The new owners at CNN are determined to shed the “fake news” propaganda reputation the network has had for years now, thanks to the crazy TDS leadership and CNN actors who pretend to report on the news.
They’ve vowed to clean things up and bring CNN back to its “glory days” when they actually reported the news.
Most people are probably not old enough to remember this… but it’s true. There was a time when CNN didn’t appear to pick sides in politics, although my guess is that the CIA has been secretly running them the whole time. After all, most media is propaganda.
But the new owners definitely do not want to keep going down this “National Enquirer” road anymore, so they’re promising changes, and today, they introduced one of the first new changes.
Today, they announced CNN will no longer blast everything they report as “BREAKING NEWS.”
Axios reported that CNN’s new boss Chris Licht says that beginning today, CNN has added a “Breaking News” guideline to its stylebook, to address overuse of the breaking news banner across its network and cable news writ-large.
Why it matters: Licht and Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav have made it a priority to dial back on partisan programming at CNN in favor of traditional journalism.
“We are truth-tellers, focused on informing, not alarming our viewers,” he said in the note obtained by Axios.
“You’ve already seen far less of the ‘Breaking News’ banner across our programming.”
Details: Licht said he agrees with complaints from “people both inside and outside the organization” that the network overuses the “Breaking News” banner.
“It has become such a fixture on every channel and network that its impact has become lost on the audience.”
This may seem small, but it’s not.
The nonstop “BREAKING NEWS” chyron was a definite propaganda tool…

Hey, it might not be an earth-shattering change, but it’s significant.
They’re clearly getting away from the “tabloid” news.
At this point, any improvement to disastrous and dangerous CNN is welcome.
